An all-American love story about two very new Americans. It’s 1975. Saigon has fallen. He lost his wife. She lost her fiancé. But now in a new land, they just might find each other. Using his uniquely infectious style and skipping back and forth from the dramatic evacuation of Saigon to the here and now – playwright Qui Nguyen gets up-close-and-personal to tell the story that led to the creation of…Qui Nguyen.

WINNER! 2016 ATCA/Steinberg New Play Award

“CRITICS’ PICK! – A raucous comedy… Nguyen’s fresh voice rarely lets up as he thumbs his nose at our expectations.”

The New York Times

Jobsite Theater presents The Thanksgiving Play @ Jobsite Theater

Ah, Thanksgiving, that most American of holidays: when families gather to celebrate the warmth of home, the bounty of the harvest — and a legacy of genocide and violent colonial expansion. Good intentions collide with absurd assumptions in Larissa FastHorse’s wickedly funny satire, as a troupe of terminally “woke” teaching artists scrambles to create a pageant that somehow manages to celebrate both Turkey Day and Native American Heritage Month. Kari Goetz returns to Jobsite after a few years away, previously helming lauded productions like The March of the Kitefliersboom!, and Crimes of the Heart.

Spirit Level @ Early Bird Dinner Theater

Spirit Level  by Pam Valentine
October 31st – December 12th, 2019.

Recently deceased famous crime writer Jack Cameron and wife Susie are haunting their cottage. Their only pleasure is spooking the real estate agent until one day a young couple moves in. Christmas brings a snowstorm, a baby and a crisis…. and the results are hilarious.   Can Jack and Susie help the young couple with their problems? An angel from heaven helps sort things out. With plenty of laughs and one-liners, the Winnipeg Bee says “it’s all a joy, with lots of splendid lines in a script that emerges with high-speed precision.”

Come at 4:00pm to enjoy our delicious dinner buffet!
