SILENT SKY

By Lauren Gunderson
America’s most popular modern playwright

When Henrietta Leavitt begins work at the Harvard Observatory in the early 1900s, she isn’t allowed to touch a telescope or express an original idea, and instead must chart the stars for a renowned astronomer. In her free time, while she attempts to measure the light and distance of stars, she must also take measure of her life on Earth and balance her dedication to science with with family obligations and the possibility of love.

“…sheer magic…bursts of smart, infectious humor.”
 San Francisco Chronicle

Run Time:  Approximately 2 hours with one  intermission

A fast-moving showcase of operatic storytelling, kid-style, it’s a colorful, fun-filled re-telling of the beloved tale of a wooden puppet who learns, through a series of misadventures, that lying does not pay. Spirit Level  by Pam Valentine

Recently deceased famous crime writer Jack Cameron and wife Susie are haunting their cottage. Their only pleasure is spooking the real estate agent until one day a young couple moves in. Christmas brings a snowstorm, a baby and a crisis…. and the results are hilarious.   Can Jack and Susie help the young couple with their problems? An angel from heaven helps sort things out. With plenty of laughs and one-liners, the Winnipeg Bee says “it’s all a joy, with lots of splendid lines in a script that emerges with high-speed precision.”
